Getting started

Contact List is a comprehensive directory plugin for building any kinds of directories a on WordPress website. Get the plugin downloaded first. The process is quite simple.

Go to your WordPress website from the backend.
Click on Plugins > Add New.
On the search line, type “Contact List”.
Click on Install > Activate.

Start creating your WordPress contact directory page, with 2 steps:

Add some contacts from WP admin > Contact List > All contacts.
Insert one of these shortcodes to any page or post on your site.

We needed a way to send an email to a contact without showing the email address on the page. We have 200+ staff in different groups. So creating an individual contact form per staff was not workable. This plugin allowed us to create multiple staff directories, import batches of contacts, and create listings by group. This plugin is more straightforward than other others I researched and purpose built for this. Anssi also addressed a small change we needed. Excellent support and priced right for Pro. Highly recommended!

Search function. It instantly returns results as you type, and so my mobile users are stoked about that. Simple to install. Quick to do the data entry. Just what I needed. Am asking the developer for additional short codes. No biggie, though. It's great.
